The St John TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is a comprehensive qualification that will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver and assess nationally accredited courses and other workplace training programs.
The course covers the following units of competency:

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
Consult and deliver nationally recognised training at any RTO
You must have knowledge and skills in a specific vocational area (e.g. first aid, nursing, youth work). You would have a qualification or extensive experience in this vocational area. You must bring evidence of this to your first class. You must also have good oral and written communication skills in English. As part of the enrolment process, you will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment.
Students must have a laptop or tablet which is wi-fi enabled. You will need good computer skills to complete the assessments involved. A full introduction to our Learning Management software will be provided in the first class.
The course is completed over 30 weeks with 20 days of class attendance (1 day a week, 8:30am to 5:30pm). The course requires significant self-guided work outside of class attendance.
$2,850. Paid in two installments: prior to course start and at 13 weeks.
The timetable below provides a workshop schedule for the 30-week duration of
the course. The course includes 20 mandatory workshops (one per week), covering the 10
units of competency.
In the weeks where no classes are scheduled you will be expected to complete 20 hours of
self-guided learning activities, which will be discussed during the workshops. You will have
access to the assessor who will be available to support you with any queries which may arise
during your self-guided learning. During the weeks where workshops are scheduled there
will be an additional 12 hours of self-guided learning per week.
